Dave Smith (American football)

Dave Smith is a former American football player and coach . He played quarterback at Lockhart High School and later Texas A&M University. He later coached at Ferris State University (1971) and Oklahoma State University-Stillwater (1972). Smith served as Southern Methodist University head football coach from 1973-1975, amassing a 16-15-2 record before being replace by Ron Meyer.
