- Paleohispanic languages
The Paleohispanic languages were the languages used in the
Iberian peninsula beforeLatin became the dominant language. The term does not include the languages with a clear and known foreign origin like Greek orPhoenician .Some of these languages were documented directly through inscriptions, mainly in
Paleohispanic scripts , that date for sure between the5th century BC , maybe from the7th century in the opinion of some researchers, until the end of the1st century BC or the beginning of the1st century AD .*
