Plot

Newly minted roommates Hank and Charlie meet a girl at the gym who knows Hank from a past incident and when Hank can’t quite remember her, she beats him up in the ring. Each reeling from relationship woes, Karen and Marcy decide to have a girl’s night out. Back at UTK, Dani meets with Mia regarding a novel she has written. Karen and Marcy decide to pay Hank and Charlie a surprise visit, but get more than they bargained for when they walk in on them and the girl from the boxing gym.

Cultural references

* When Hank and Charlie are at a bar drinking, Charlie calls themselves Raoul Duke and Dr. Gonzo, from Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.
* Dani makes reference to the TV program "Slut Wars" being popular. This is a reference to the film "The TV Set" in which David Duchovny plays a writer of a TV pilot. In the film, the fictional network Duchovny is pitching his pilot to have just had a popular hit with the equally fictional "Slut Wars."
*When Hank tries to leave his ex and Charlie alone he says "Good Night and Good Luck," a reference to the catchphrase by journalist Edward R. Murrow while trying to take down Senator Joe McCarthy and the subsequent movie "Good Night and Good Luck".
* When Hank decides to leave Charlie and the ex that he can't remember alone on the sofa, he says "Carry on my wayward sons", which is a reference to a song by Kansas named "Carry on Wayward Son".
