Saint-Omer , at the D928 and D211 road junction and on the banks of the river Aa, a tributary of theLys River .History
Because of its proximity to the
V-2 rocket launch site ofLa Coupole , the village was badly damaged by 14 Allied bombing raids during the summer of 1944.Population
