John Chaney (basketball player)

John Louie Chaney (born February 29, 1920) is a retired American basketball player.

He played collegiately for the Louisiana State University.

Upon graduation, John suited up for the Syracuse Nationals of the National Basketball League. He played in 141 games for the Nats from 1946-49.

He played for the Tri-Cities Blackhawks and Sheboygan Redskins (1949-50) in the NBA for 16 games.
