Sas van Gent (coord|51|14|N|3|48|E|type:city(3854)) is a town in the Dutch province of Zeeland. It is a part of the municipality of Terneuzen and lies about 30 km south of Vlissingen on the border with Belgium.

The Ghent-Terneuzen Canal passes through Sas van Gent, and at that point there was a lock in the canal. The name of the village, "Sas van Gent", means "sluice of Ghent".

Sas van Gent was a separate municipality until 2003, when it was merged with Terneuzen. [Ad van der Meer and Onno Boonstra, "Repertorium van Nederlandse gemeenten", KNAW, 2006. The former municipality of Sas van Gent also included the following towns, villages and townships: Philippine, Westdorpe, Zandstraat. All are now part of Terneuzen.

In 2001, the town of Sas van Gent had 3854 inhabitants.
