There is one watermill on the river at
Great Witchingham which is known as Eade’s Mill [ [http://www.norfolkmills.co.uk/Watermills/witchingham.html] Eade’s Watermill, Norfolk Mills] . The mill was built in1666 . Until1948 the waterwheel was still in working order but by1972 the watermill was being used as a hammer mill to grind up pig meal and was powered by electricity.
