Julia Middleton (born in
London ) is the CEO ofCommon Purpose UK founded in 1989, and an author. Her works include "Beyond Authority: Leadership in a Changing World". As well as being the CEO of Common Purpose UK she is a trustee of the UK training and leadership charity Impetus and a former member of DEMOS.Julia Middleton was an independent assessor for the Office of the Commissioner for Public Appointments and is a trustee of Alfanar and theMedia Standards Trust and is also a member of the Shadow National Advisory Board of the UK National Centre for Diversity.Early life
Julia Middleton was born in London to a Northern English family from
Bolton ,Lancashire . Growing up she lived in several European cities and in the US. Julia was educated at French state schools and returned to the UK at the age of 16 to sit herBaccalauréat at the French Lycee in London.Following this she attended theLondon School of Economics where she studied an Economics degree before going on to joinDemos (UK think tank) .Her early career was spent at the Industrial Society, except for a brief time as Employee Relations Manager at Belgian oil company
