The station is situated between Northolt Park and Sudbury & Harrow Road stations.The station was opened in 1910, originally as "South Harrow" [http://www.british-history.ac.uk/report.asp?compid=22465] . From at least the 1960s until late 2004, trains would only call at this station at peak-hours, due to a lack of demand. In November 2004, however, following concerted efforts by the London Transport Users Committee, an hourly off-peak service was also provided. The station is close to the
