Lee Thomas (born 2 June 1984 in Barry, Vale of Glamorgan) is a Welsh rugby union player who currently plays fly-half for Sale Sharks. His first professional club was Cardiff RFC which he joined in 2002. He had then played for Celtic Warriors from 2003 until they disbanded in 2004, he returned to the capital where he stayed for two years with the Cardiff Blues until his current club the Sale Sharks made a bid for him in 2006.

Rugby Football Union Disciplinary Panel had slammed a 14 weeks ban on Sale Sharks player Lee Thomas following for his offence during a match against Bath Rugby at Edgeley Park on March 28, 2008.

The Panel found the Sale Sharks fly- half guilty of a breach of regulation 5.12- ‘any conduct which is prejudicial to the interests of the Union or the game’.

As an outcome of the ban, Thomas is suspended until June 3, 2008 and then from August 22, 2008 until October 17, 2008. He can resume playing on October 18, 2008.

During the match, Thomas was alleged to have punched Shaun Berne. The Australian lost three teeth as a result of the clash and required emergency dental treatment.
