Connell McShane Born August 4, 1977
Long Island, New YorkOccupation FOX Business Network anchor Children 3 Connell McShane (born August 4, 1977) is an anchor and correspondent on the Fox Business Network, which he joined when the network was launched in October 2007. He anchors the 11amET hour of Fox Business and contributes to Imus in the Morning. He was a co-anchor on the network's early-morning program, Fox Business Morning, along with Jenna Lee, until 7 May 2010.
Biography
Since joining Fox Business for its launch in 2007, McShane has spent time covering the financial crisis, providing live reports from the scene when Bear Stearns and Lehman Brothers collapsed. He's also reported on the rise of China from Shanghai and Beijing, and covered the European debt crisis from Dublin, Ireland.
A graduate of Fordham University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication and Media Studies, McShane was named a finalist in both the New York Metro Achievement in Radio Awards and the New York State Associated Press Broadcasters' Association.
Prior to joining FBN, McShane worked at Bloomberg Television where he served as a news reporter and an anchor working on Evening Edition, On the Markets and Marketweek. He also broadcasted live reports from both the New York Stock Exchange and NASDAQ. Before Bloomberg Television, McShane co-anchored the syndicated morning show The First Word on Bloomberg Radio.
McShane will be doing the news for Imus in the Morning in May of 2011, replacing the outgoing Charles McCord.
Personal Life
McShane is married and has three children. On the August 4th 2011 Imus In The Morning Show, he acknowledged that it was his 34th birthday.
