The Institute for Tongzhi Studies ( _zh. 華人性別研究中心, Pinyin: "huá rén xìng bié yán jiū zhōng xīn") is an institute at the City University of New York which conducts research into gender and sexuality in Chinese societies, with a particular focus on tongzhi and LGBT communities. The institute is run as a joint project of the university's Center for Women and Society and the Center for Lesbian and Gay Studies.
The institute is one of the organisers of the Asian Lesbian Film and Video Festival.
