*2 March - Cyclone Gloria hits Mozambique:- Aidworkers in Mozambique estimate 100,000 people need to be evacuated and around 7,000 are trapped in trees. Many have been there for several days, without food and water.:- Floodwater levels are said to have risen from 4 to 5 metres (more than 26 feet) in five days.
