Japan esepolitician of the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP), Tsushima Facation, and a member of the House of Representatives in the Diet (national legislature). He is currently serving his fifth term in the Lower House representingTochigi Prefecture 's fifth electoral district.A native of
Ashikaga, Tochigi , Motegi attended theUniversity of Tokyo and received a post-graduate degree fromHarvard University . He worked for trading companyMarubeni Corporation , as a political reporter forYomiuri Shimbun and at the consultancyMcKinsey & Co. . Motegi was elected to the House of Representatives for the first time in 1993 as a member of theJapan New Party . He changed to the LDP in 1995.
