Jason was born in
Jasper, AL , graduated from Shelby County High School inColumbiana, Alabama and has aBachelor's degree from UAB with a Major in English and a Minor in History. He currently lives inPrairie Village, KS a suburb ofKansas City with his wife and two sons. He is a cousin of the authorGustav Hasford , author of "The Short-Timers ", a parallel-perspective story taking place during theVietnam War and wrote "The Other Side " to honour Gus, who was a combat consultant during the war and wrote the semi-autobiography "The Short-Timers ", which was later adapted into the filmFull Metal Jacket .Along with a brief return to "Wolverine", Aaron will be the new ongoing writer on "Ghost Rider" as well as contributing a story for "Black Panther".
