Department of Education[1] (Nepali: शिक्षा विभाग), abbreviated as DoE, is the executive department of the Ministry of Education, Nepal government responsible for the management and upkeep of the Nepalese system of education. It is the chief formulator of Nepali educational policy and is responsible for the primary and secondary school system in Nepal. Higher education is managed by the Higher Secondary Education Board (HSEB).[2]

History

DoE was established on 23 May 1999.[1]
