100 Greatest Cartoons

100 Greatest Cartoons

The "100 Greatest Cartoons" is a documentary that features a poll conducted by the British television channel Channel 4 in 2004.cite web |url=http://www.examiner.ie/breaking/index.aspx?c=ireland&jp=kfsnkfkfidau |title=Irish Examiner | The Simpsons named top cartoon |author= |authorlink= |coauthors= |date=2005-02-26 |format= |work= |publisher= |pages= |language= |archiveurl= http://www.webcitation.org/5ZTrtA8ad|archivedate= 2008-07-21|quote= |accessdate=2008-07-21] 105 cartoons - including a mix of animated television programs, animated short subjects, animated features, and named cartoon characters - were "nominated" by Channel 4 and then ranked by public poll, with only the top 100 being shown. The ranked list was first broadcast on 27 February 2005, from 100 to number 1, featuring the reminiscences of celebrities and media pundits interlaced with clips from the shows themselves.

However, like the 100 Greatest Kids' TV shows, there are discrepancies between the list of nominations and the televised list as well as between the televised list and the list now available on Channel 4's website.List 1-100
