CFYX-FM

CFYX-FM is a French-language Canadian radio station located in Rimouski, Quebec.

Owned and operated by Radio Rimouski [ [http://www.crtc.gc.ca/archive/eng/decisions/2006/db2006-686.htm] ] , part of Groupe Radio Simard, it broadcasts on 93.3 MHz with an effective radiated power of 18,197 watts using an omnidirectional antenna (class C1). The station has an hybrid talk and classic rock format and identifies itself as FM 93 .

The station went on the air on October 9, 2007 at 6 a.m.; part of its talk programming comes from the Corus Québec network. On August 19, 2008, the licensee proposes to add an FM transmitter at Rivière-du-Loup to broadcast in its entirety the programming of CFYX-FM Rimouski in order to serve the population of Rivière-du-Loup. The transmitter would operate on an FM frequency 103.1 MHz (channel 276LP) with an average effective radiated power of 13 watts (maximum effective radiated power 50 watts/effective antenna height of 31.1 metres).
