- Henry Gunderson
Henry A. Gunderson (1878–1940) was a
Wisconsin politician. He was born inColumbia County, Wisconsin in 1878; he graduated from theUniversity of Wisconsin-Madison in 1900, and in 1903 he received a law degree fromColumbia University . He returned to Wisconsin the next year, and practiced law in Portage. He served several terms as thedistrict attorney for Columbia County. In 1936, he becameLieutenant Governor of Wisconsin , but resigned onOctober 16 ,1937 to accept an appointment to the state tax commission. After GovernorPhilip La Follette left office in 1939, the commission was disbanded, and Gunderson returned to his law practice. He died of aheart attack in 1940.References
