Potterspury is a village in the district of
South Northamptonshire in the English county ofNorthamptonshire .It is on theA5 road , formerly the Roman road ofWatling Street . There is a school, theJohn Hellins Primary School, and small shop on these premises.The village is host to two pubs, The Talbot on the A5 and The Cock on the High Street. Potterspury is home to Potterspury Magpies Football Club.The parish church is dedicated to St Nicholas and there has been a church on the site since at least 1087, originally granted byRobert de Ferrers, 1st Earl of Derby to Bernard the Scribe.
