HNLMS Walrus (S802)

HNLMS "Walrus" (S802) is the first of the four Walrus class diesel-electric submarines.

"Walrus" was laid down 11 October 1979 and launched 28 October 1985. Due to damage caused by fire in 14 August 1986 completion of boat was delayed.

She was re-launched 13 September 1989 and commissioned 25 March 1992.
