Scott Vokey

Scott Vokey

Scott Vokey is an Ontario politician. He was elected to the position of Policy Coordinator for the Green Party of Ontario in October, 2004. Under his direction the Green Party of Ontario saw the formalization of the Shadow Cabinet, the realignment of the party's policy book, and the submission of 63 new policies to the 2005 Annual General Meeting. Of these 63 submissions, the party adopted nearly 40. Vokey resigned from the position in October, 2005, and is no longer active in the Green Party of Ontario.

During the Canadian federal election, 2004 he ran as a "parachute candidate" for the Green Party of Canada in the riding of St. John's North in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador. Although not a resident of the riding at the time of the election, Vokey is from St. John's. Vokey received 791 votes, the most of any Green Party of Canada candidate in Newfoundland and Labrador, to the 15,073 cast for Norman E. Doyle of the Conservative Party of Canada. He is no longer a member of the Green Party of Canada.
