shrub in the familyFabaceae . It is endemic to eastern Australia.The species grows up to two metres in height. Its leaves are 0.6 to 2 cm long and 0.1 to 0.5 cm wide. From late winter into spring it produces yellow pea flowers with a red-orange band around a yellow centre and bright yellow wings and keel.
The species was first formally described in 1803 in "Jardin de la Malmaison" and was assigned the name "Pultenaea ericoides". In 1832, the species was transferred into the genus "
Aotus ".It occurs in heathland and dry
sclerophyll forests inQueensland ,New South Wales , Victoria andTasmania .References
