Journal of Information Technology & Politics

The Journal of Information Technology & Politics or JITP, formerly the Journal of E-Government, will publish its inaugural issue in the fall of 2007. Since 2005, the publisher, The Haworth Press, has been affiliated with the organized section on [http://www.apsanet.org/~itp/ Information Technology & Politics] (ITP) of the [http://www.apsanet.org/ American Political Science Association] (APSA). At the September 2006 ITP business meeting, the section voted to adopt JITP on a trial basis starting with the first issue. At the 2008 business meeting, the members of ITP will vote on whether to make it the official journal of APSA's ITP section.

History

Prior to the fall of 2007, the journal was known as the Journal of E-Government [www.egovjournal.com] . It was founded in 2004 by the Haworth Press' Civic Resource Group [http://www.egovjournal.com/about.htm] and went on produce 12 issues from 2005 to 2007 [http://www.ingentaconnect.com/content/haworth/jeg] before being renamed to the Journal of Information Technology & Politics.

The Journal is indexed by Scopus.
