Atco Blockbusters is a sampler album released in the UK in 1969 and featuring acts which in the US appeared on the Atco label (part of Atlantic); a long pedigree in soul music combined with more recently signed rock bands made an attempt to break into the UK market almost inevitable. The album contains some interesting cover versions (Arthur Conley, King Curtis), and a necessarily shortened version of the 17-minute prog-rock epic, In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida.
