Active intelligence is a term used to describe
software systems andbusiness processes containing functionality or components that evaluate information and drive actions of linked systems or processes inreal-time . Active intelligence builds upon thebusiness intelligence (BI) capabilities that have been developed on top ofdata warehouses andsearch repositories in that active intelligence requires the information input of a data warehouse or search repository with BI analysis capabilities, but instead of supplying end users with information upon which to make decisions, active intelligence systems supply "applications" withbusiness intelligence and analysis results.1Citations
