- John F. Miller (Chicago-based artist, 1927-)
John F. Miller is a Chicago-based artist working in an abstract style. He taught at the Art Institute of Chicago for many years, finally retiring from teaching in the late 1990's. His earlier work was done in the paint medium, mostly using oils. Among influences on his work were the Fauve artists. In the 1990's, Miller entered a new phase in expression when he began working with digital photography and manipulation of images on a computer. He continues to create new work.
