Fictional character biography

Anton Mogart, as Midnight Man, is a costumed criminal who steals art treasures and valuable original manuscripts. As part of his schtick, he "always struck at midnight." He was an enemy of Moon Knight.

Mogart is presumed dead after his first encounter with Moon Knight after being shot by Marlene and falling off of his roof,[1] but he appears several issues later working with Raoul Bushman.[2] Bushman betrays Midnight Man however, and leaves him and Moon Knight to drown in the flooding sewer system. Moon Knight manages to barely rescue himself and Midnight Man.[3]

Anton was the father of Jeff Wilde, later known as Midnight, who for a time served as a sidekick for the super hero Moon Knight. Later after a battle with the Secret Empire.[4] Jeff Wilde was transformed into a cyborg by the Secret Empire's scientists.
