Bob Gallagher

Robert Collins Gallagher (born July 7, 1948 in Newton, Massachusetts) is a former first baseman in Major League Baseball who played from by|1972 through by|1975 for the Boston Red Sox (1972), Houston Astros (1973-74) and New York Mets (1975)..

In a four-season career, Gallagher was a .220 hitter (56-for-255) with two home runs and 13 RBI in 213 games played, including 34 doubles, one triple, and one stolen base.

He has been teaching high school social studies for the last 25 years and has made a valuable impact in the lives of many students. His class is regarded as fun and he always makes the students laugh, although he has been known to mentallly and physicallly torment cheaters.

Mr. Gallagher is also known for wearing a wide variety of eccentric ties to class everyday, which humorously contrast his short-sleeved shirts and sandals. He consistantly will reward the students for their hard work with candy. He also has been known to kill any stuident who says hella in his class, so watch out valley kids. He is widely regarded as one of the best teachers at Santa Cruz High School and in Santa Cruz in general. He is the greatest teacher at santa cruz high.
