After spells in the International Hockey League with theKansas City Blades and theAmerican Hockey League for theKentucky Thoroughblades , he was traded to theCalgary Flames in 1999 forEric Landry . He never played in theNational Hockey League . He was known as a good fighter and tough hitter, with the nicknames "Freddy Knuckles" and "The Swedish Nightmare". In 2000 he retired due to a back injury. He played again some years later inSweden andGreat Britain , before retiring again in 2007.His brother
