Apalachicola Fort Site near Holy Trinity, Alabama is an archaeological site. Spain established a wattle and daub blockhouse here on the Chattahoochee River in 1690, in an attempt to maintain influence among the Lower Creek Indians. It was used for only one year, and destroyed by the Spanish when they abandoned the site. It was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1964.
