Liceo Salvadoreño

Liceo Salvadoreño is a private catholic educational institution located in San Salvador, El Salvador. It has administrated since 1924 by the Marist Brothers congregation

The school has over 2000 students divided in two shifts, morning and afternoon:
*Morning: Elementary school, Middle school (excepting the ninth grade which is in the afternoon)
*Afternoon: High school (and the ninth grade).

There are around 95 teachers and 7 marist brothers:
*Alfonso Garcia
*Gilber Barillas (superior)
*Jesus Allende
*Jose A. Lopez
*Leon Echevarri
*Jose A. Ochotorena
*Javier Villasur

The school has the reputation of being an elite school and it's students have received the highest scores in the Learning and Academic Aptitude Test (PAES for its initials in Spanish) since the test's first application in 1997, along with a couple other school who share this honour.Many Liceo Salvadoreño students have become important personalities in El Salvador such as: the writer Salvador Salazar Arrue, politician Rodrigo Avila, former president Jose Duarte and many salvadoran politicians.
