Namsos herred

Namsos herred (the meaning is "the rural district/'herred' of Namsos") is a former municipality in Nord-Trøndelag county, Norway.

Namsos herred was separated from Overhalla as a municipality of its own in 1860 (but see also Sævik). It was split into the two new municipalities of Klinga and Vemundvik January 1, 1891.
