The Treasure Island development is a large residential, commercial, and retail development proposed for construction on Treasure Island, a small articificial island located in
San Francisco Bay and within the city limits of San Francisco,California . The complex is planned to contain fiveskyscrapers taller than 40 stories, with the tallest skyscraper being 650 feet (198 m) tall with 60 stories.ref label|note01|A|^ [Cite web|title=How high San Francisco? Each building in the complex was designed by the renowned architectural firm
Skidmore, Owings and Merrill . The use of a parking system and the close proximity of each residential neighborhood to the ferry terminal is designed to encourage car-free living on the island.
