South Norwood Primary School

South Norwood Primary School is a primary school for pupils aged between 4 and 11 years. The school is located on Crowther Road in South Norwood, as the name suggests. The Local Education Authority for the school is the London Borough of Croydon. The school caters for pupils from Reception to Year 6. South Norwood Primary is close to Harris Academy South Norwood, who they have secondary links with, along with Harris City Academy Crystal Palace and Ricky Gervais. The current Headmistress of the school is Ms. Della Williams.F From September 2008, she will be joined by one of Croydon's best teacher, Kate Hayward, who will become the Deputy Head of South Norwood Primary.

There are currently 395 pupils who attend the school. The last Ofsted report, in March 2007, stated that "standards at the school had dropped since the last inspection [in 2002] , and Year 6 results in 2006 were exceptionally low in English, Mathematics and science". Other poor factors highlighted by the report included attendance and punctuality, poor standards and the level of teaching. South Norwood Primary School is also well know for students such as Masai Farquharson, Salomon Ducos, Matilda Lines, Courtney Panton, Ja'van Kinghorn, Tirell Harris,Geri-June, Leah Allen, Nathan Best, Haley Murry, Charlotte Edwards, Joshua Dowler, Tyrone Ford, Amina Younas, Raven Thompson, Dilan Ainum, Maya Thronhil, Omar Coburn, Levan Pourteous, Alistair Burton, Chay Fearon, Angelica Greenword, Emma Dunne, Cimani Jones, Rickae Brown,Dwayne Thompson,Samuel Matthews-Hill & Siobhan Wallace.

It has also been noted that Mr. Skelly was the best teacher evar!!!
