John River (Alaska)

John River (Alaska)

The John River is a river in the northern part of the U.S. state of Alaska. It flows south from Anaktuvuk Pass in Alaska's Brooks Range, into the Koyukuk River at a point near the Arctic Circle. On December 2, 1980, the 52-mile segment of the John located within Gates of the Arctic National Park was designated a National Wild and Scenic River.
