Faculties and Central Institute
Faculty of Business and Economics
Faculty of Business and Economics (Faculty I) at the BSE offers ten study programmes related to business and economics with a multitude of specialisation choices and qualification profiles relevant to many sectors. In addition to the necessary fundamentals, graduates are armed with multidisciplinary knowledge and an understanding of the international connections necessary for management. Our inclusion of gender studies and environmental and sustainability studies is pioneering in the study and teaching of our field.
Successful graduates of the programme receive the internationally recognized Bachelor's or Master's degree. English language courses are included in the programme and provide additional preparation for students entering the international workplace.
Faculty of Company-Linked Programmes
The BSE Faculty of Company-Linked Programmes (Faculty II) offers sector-oriented study programmes with business and technical specialisations. The dual-degree study programme allows students to experience specialised practiceoriented learning and work environments through the interlocking of internships with our 480 partner companies and the inclusion of those companies in the development of the study programmes. After three years of studies the students reach the level of the Bachelor's degree and thus receive their first job-qualification degree. All successful graduates have thereby the possibility to take advantage of worldwide job offers and/or continuing degree programmes.
IMB Institute of Management Berlin
As one as the first universities in Germany at early 1990s the Berlin School of Economics established Management education. Today the (IMB) Institute of Management Berlin – as a an independent central institute under the umbrella of the Berlin School of Economics – is one of the fore runners in the management education in Europe. All MBA programmes offered are accredited by FIBAA.
Alongside the five accredited MBA programmes, students can take part in a MA study programme as well as two certificate programmes at the IMB. In a comparison of the range of services of MBA programmes available in Germany the BSE received first place.
The strongly internationally-oriented offerings in continuing education at the IMB aim – with various foci – at the practical mediation of generalised management qualifications for leading business positions.
