Signed to Arista Nashville since 1999, Paisley has recorded five studio albums for the label: "Who Needs Pictures" (1999), "Part II" (2001), "Mud on the Tires" (2003), "Time Well Wasted" (2004), and "5th Gear" (2006), as well as a Christmas album entitled "Brad Paisley Christmas", also from 2006. All six of these albums have been certified gold or higher by the RIAA.

Overall, Paisley's albums have accounted for twenty-two Top 40 singles on the "Billboard" Hot Country Songs charts, all but two of which have reached Top Ten. Twelve of his singles have reached Number One on this chart as well. The first four of these were "He Didn't Have to Be" (1999), "We Danced" (2000), "I'm Gonna Miss Her (The Fishin' Song)" (2002), "Mud on the Tires" (2004-2005). "When I Get Where I'm Going", a duet with Dolly Parton from late 2005-early 2006 started a streak of eight contiguous Number One hits which continued through 2007 and 2008 with "The World", "She's Everything", "Ticks", "Online", "Letter to Me" (his longest-lasting Number One, at four weeks), "I'm Still a Guy", and "Waitin' on a Woman" (a re-edited version of a song originally found on "Time Well Wasted"). This string of eight consecutive Number Ones has made him the country artist with the most consecutive Number Ones since the inception of Nielsen SoundScan in 1990.
