"It's Funky Enough" was first single by American rapper,The D.O.C., from his 1989 debut album, "No One Can Do It Better".

History

The song was produced by Dr. Dre and samples "Misdemeanor" by Foster Sylvers. The song has appeared on many video games such as , and Madden 2005. Its line "Y'all ready for this?" is also heard in the title screen of the platform game Jazz Jackrabbit 2.

Most notably, "Y'all ready for this?" has been made globally famous as a sample in the song "Get Ready for This" by early-'90s dance group 2 Unlimited. That song is arguably the most played opening song for arena-based sporting events. The opening of "Get Ready for This" is even used in a 2004 South Park episode in which candidates for school mascot are introduced in the school's gymnasium.
