Elena Kuschnerova is a Russian pianist.

Biography

Elena Kuschnerova was born and raised in Moscow and currently lives in Germany. She was born into a musical family and started playing the piano at age five. She made her first performance with an orchestra at the age of nine and recorded Bach's Keyboard Concerto in F minor for Radio Moscow with the conductor Emin Khachaturian.

Music

Kuschnerova is the only performing artist affiliated with the Russian composer Alexander Lokshin, who wrote a variation cycle for her.

Harold Schonberg, the former chief music critic for "The New York Times", wrote about Kuschnerova's "" CD in the American Record Guide: "These are the best recorded performances I am familiar with".
