Westwood is a city in Jefferson County, Kentucky, United States. The population was 612 at the 2000 census.

Westwood is located at coor dms|38|16|45|N|85|34|58|W|city (38.279270, -85.582670)GR|1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.1 square miles (0.3 km²), all of it land.

Demographics

As of the censusGR|2 of 2000, there were 612 people, 217 households, and 189 families residing in the city. The population density was 4,729.5 people per square mile (1,817.7/km²). There were 218 housing units at an average density of 1,684.7/sq mi (647.5/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 97.55% White, 0.49% African American, 0.98% Asian, and 0.98% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.31% of the population.

There were 217 households out of which 36.9% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 80.2% were married couples living together, 3.7% had a female householder with no husband present, and 12.9% were non-families. 11.1% of all households were made up of individuals and 5.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.82 and the average family size was 3.04.

In the city the population was spread out with 25.0% under the age of 18, 5.4% from 18 to 24, 21.7% from 25 to 44, 29.9% from 45 to 64, and 18.0% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 44 years. For every 100 females there were 106.1 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 100.4 males.

The median income for a household in the city was $73,295, and the median income for a family was $74,318. Males had a median income of $50,083 versus $34,625 for females. The per capita income for the city was $26,079. About 1.5% of families and 0.6% of the population were below the poverty line, including none of those under the age of eighteen or sixty-five or over.
