Wangiwangi Island

Wangiwangi Island is in the northwest cluster of the Tukangbesi Islands, seat of Wakatobi Subdistrict. To the west is the Gulf of Kolowana Watabo ("Teluk Kolowana Watabo"). The Wangi Wangi White-eye (Zosterops sp. nov.) is a recently-discovered endangered bird on the island [ [http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2004/01/0126_040126_wangiwangi.html National Geographic] ] .
