Frisian American

A Frisian American is an inhabitant of the United States with full or partial Frisian ancestry.

The Frisians are the people from the Dutch province Friesland (Frisian: Fryslân). The Frisian are closely related to the Dutch, but have their own language and are sometimes considered an ethnic group. Frisia was never independent during the existence of the United States, and hence Frisian Americans are often included within Dutch Americans.Dr. F.
