The Indie Soul Movement.

The Indie Soul Movement is a band that was formed in 2003 by young up and coming vocalist/songwriter Mutch Katsonga in London,England. The Indie Soul Movement have been likened to Seal,Tracy Chapman, and George Michael.

The Indie Soul Movement incoporates elements of soul/pop/jazz/funk with latin flourishes and distinct singer/songwriter sensibilities.
Mutch Katsonga is the main songwriting force behind the band who draws emphasis to the purity of song.
The Indie Soul Movement performed on the London gig circuit for much of 2003/2004 being described by Soma Soma Scene Magazine as one of the most exciting acts on the London gig circiut.They continue to perform live and have appeared at venues in London and Australia.They appeared in the New Musical Express Magazine twice and Austalian Music Magazines Beat and Inpress.They signed a distribution deal with Turmic Records in 2004 and released their debut EP in 2005. 2006 saw them release their debut album,again on Turmic Records. The album was entitled "Jagged Edge Frontier".The song "Colder" taken from the album scaled the upper reaches of the Overplay RnB Chart for the entire year.

By 2007 The Indie Soul Movement released their first entirely independent LP entitled "A Journey To The Sacred Falls".

The Indie Soul Movement's song "Colder" has been selected by Brylcreem to be part of their new promotional campaign following a massive online competition that saw countless bands submit their songs.Brylcreem have included The Indie Soul Movement on a ten track downloadable album available on the new Brylcreem website.
