The Ruger SP101 is an American made, double action, series of revolvers. The SP101s are 5-shot (and one 6-shot variation), small frame and all-steel construction carry revolvers.

History

The Ruger SP101 was introduced as the smaller frame counterpart to the GP100. Both of these revolvers, together, replaced the long-standing staple in the American firearm's market, the Ruger Six series revolvers. While no longer manufactured, a 9mm Parabellum version was also available until around 1998 and a .22lr version was also available until 2003.
