Mark E. Amodei is a Republican member of the Nevada Senate, representing the Capital District ( [http://www.leg.state.nv.us/lcb/research/RedistMaps/dm72/color/sencapital.pdf map] ) since 1999. Amodei serves as Chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee. Previously he served in the Nevada House of Representatives from 1997 through 1999. In his first year in the Nevada State Assembly, he was selected Freshman Legislator of the Year.Amodei is also the President of the Nevada Mining Association, after having served as a partner at the Nevada law firm of Kummer Kaempfer Bonner Renshaw & Ferrario.
