Coady was drafted by the
St. Louis Rams in the 3rd round of the1999 NFL Draft . His stock rose quickly in the draft when he tested extremely well at theNFL Combine , with a 4.440 yard dash , 20 reps of 225 lbs. on thebench press , and a 36"vertical jump . He won aSuper Bowl ring inSuper Bowl XXXIV , hisrookie year. He played three years in St. Louis, then spent the 2002 season with theTennessee Titans , before returning to the Rams for two more seasons. He was signed by theAtlanta Falcons in the 2005 offseason and subsequently cut before being signed by theDallas Cowboys , with whom he spent the 2005 season. He worked out with theNew Orleans Saints prior to the 2006 season, but did not make their final roster. He started 16 games at bothfree safety andstrong safety in his career.External links
