* ooVoo is a
video conferencing client that enables up to six people to have a real-time face-to-face conversation online.* Recording of multiple person video conversations which can be saved as FLV or AVI files for posting to video sharing sites such as MySpace and Facebook.
* Video messages can be recorded and sent to other ooVoo users or any
e-mail address .* Multiple person
instant messaging ,file transfer and share contact lists.* "ooVoo Me" widget for social networking profiles and email signatures
* "ooVoo Call" enables users to add people to join video calls by telephone or make telephone calls from ooVoo to a land line or mobile phone in the USA or Canada.
Abuse
Since the ooVoo Call service allows anonymous calling to traditional telephones, there is potential for abuse by prank callers. This is compounded by that fact that, since ooVoo calls are accompanied by a valid caller id tag (numbers registered to ooVoo) these calls cannot be blocked using traditional services such as anonymous call blocking. The free trial of ooVoo Call has resulted in a large number of complaints from individuals receiving harassing or obscene phone calls, with Oovoo being unwilling to intervene or provide assisstance to those affected.
