Andrew Raczkowski

Andrew "Rocky" Raczkowski (born 1968 [ [http://politicalgraveyard.com/bio/raab-radway.html The Political Graveyard: Index to Politicians: R to Radzevich ] ] .) is a Polish-American Republican politician from Michigan.

A resident of Farmington Hills and a major with the U.S. Army Reserves, Raczkowski was a member of the Michigan House of Representatives from 1997 to 2003, representing the 37th District [ [http://politicalgraveyard.com/bio/raab-radway.html The Political Graveyard: Index to Politicians: R to Radzevich ] ] .

In 2002 he was term-limited (Michigan House members cannot serve more than three two-year terms). He won the Republican nomination for the United States Senate, but lost in a landslide to the popular longtime Democratic incumbent Carl Levin by 60.6% to 37.9%.

He was planning on running in the Republican primary to challenge Levin again in 2008 [ [http://www.freep.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080121/NEWS06/801210368/1008 2 in GOP poised to challenge Levin ] ] , but when he was called up for active duty, he was forced to drop out of the race.
