Jon Medley

Jon Medley

Jonathan Medley (stage name: Jonny Dynamite!) (born Camden, New Jersey) is an American singer / songwriter / rapper currently active in Tokyo, Japan. He attended East Camden Middle School and later graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School. During his high school years he performed any various plays and productions including a city wide production of 'The Wiz' where he played the wizard. He also was a regular on a dance show called "Dancing on Air" which later moved to cable and was named "Dance Party USA". After graduation, he studied at the Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University and the Berklee College of Music, then moved to Los Angeles to pursue a music career. Once there, he joined the X-Change Band, which took him to perform in Tokyo for six months, and he returned as a member of a band called Mystique. Afterwards, he served as a musician with Nippon International Television, Konami, and other organizations.

His collaborations with Konami are visible as credits on the Dance Dance Revolution video game series.

For a time in the mid-1990s, Jon lived and worked in Boston, Massachusetts.
